Far away in the woods,
Lives a Good Samaritan,
Serving one and all,
Like it always should.
Like a Green Colossus it stands,
Yet bending over with all its humility,
It lends all fuel for our demands.
Like a towering building it soars,
High above house and towers,
And like a nature doctor it cures,
The air from dust, pollution and acid showers.
Like a mother it holds,
Its branches creeping out,
And like a friend it lends
Shade and shelter to all without doubt.
So let us all take a vow,
To serve these green soldiers starting now,
As tomorrow may be too late,
We may lose a caretaker and a cruel world that would make.
